Consensus vs reported

Each line compares the average estimate Tesla posted before the report with the figure Tesla then reported. “SD” counts how many standard deviations of analyst disagreement the result landed from the average, so a small miss on a tight estimate can matter more than a large one on a loose estimate.

Above and below describe the number, not whether it is good news: for capital expenditures, above means more spending. Within a quarter’s estimate, a result less than a quarter of a standard deviation from the average is shown as in line. Reported figures come from Tesla’s quarterly update filed with the SEC.

How full-year 2026 estimates have moved

Each column is the full-year average in one of Tesla’s postings. The last column compares the newest posting with the first.

Delivery estimates vs actual

Tesla also posts a delivery and energy storage consensus a few days before each quarterly production and deliveries release. The Catalysts page charts the longer delivery history.

About these numbers

Consensus figures are the averages, medians and spreads in Tesla’s own company-compiled consensus, posted on its investor relations site. Tesla says it does not endorse the analysts’ views or the accuracy of their estimates, and it posts them for information only. Because only analysts who send Tesla their numbers are included, the average can differ from the figures other data providers show.

Price targets and buy, hold or sell counts come from paid data providers and are not collected here. Where an analyst’s own target appears in the list above, it is as reported by the linked outlet.
